Spring football drills begin at A&T

GREENSBORO, North Carolina -- Spring practice has begun for N.C. A&T with 76 players in camp.

The Aggies are practicing on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays until their spring game on April 18 at noon.

“We have so much room for improvement,” said head coach Rod Broadway, whose team finished in a five-way tie for the MEAC title. “We need to focus on fundamentals and techniques. And this is a little embarrassing to say, especially four years into the program, but we need to work on effort.”

Broadway is 28-17 in four years at A&T. He has at least one conference title in all three leagues he has coached: CIAA, SWAC and MEAC. He also is just four wins shy of his 100th career victory.
