Fayetteville State Football Announces The 2015 Schedule

FAYETTEVILLE, North Carolina  -- The Fayetteville State University Department of Athletics has released the 2015 football schedule. This year's scheduled features five games away and at home, including the "Two Rivers Classic" being played in Luther "Nick" Jeralds Stadium.

Last season, the Broncos finished in second place in the CIAA Southern Division at 5-5 overall and 5-2 in the CIAA.

FSU will begin the 2015 season at home on Saturday, September 5th in a non-conference contest versus Chowan University.

The Broncos follow that game with the annual "Two Rivers Classic" against UNC Pembroke. Both games will kickoff at 6:00 p.m. from Jeralds Stadium.

Fayetteville State will then hit the road for two straight weeks; first against Virginia Union University in Richmond, VA on September 19th and then the defending CIAA Champion Virginia State University for the first conference matchup in Ettrick, VA on September 26th.

The second cross-divisional CIAA contest will take place on October 3rd at 6:00 p.m. as the Broncos host The Lincoln University. FSU picked up their initial victory of the 2014 season on the road against Lincoln (34-13).

In the CIAA Southern race, the Broncos will host two of their division opponents, including Homecoming 2015 versus Saint Augustine's University on October 24th at 2:00 p.m. Prior to Homecoming, FSU will play Shaw University in Jerald Stadium at 1:30 p.m. (October 10th) and then travel to Charlotte, NC to face Johnson C. Smith University (October 17th).

The Broncos other Southern Division contests will be road games against Livingstone College in Salisbury, NC on October 31st and Winston-Salem State University in Winston-Salem, NC for the regular season finale on November 7th.

The 2015 CIAA Football Championship will take place on November 14th at a site to be determined.
