Chowan Hawks Announce 2015 Football Schedule

MUFREESBORO, North Carolina -- The Chowan University football program has announced the 2015 schedule. The Hawks, led by head coach Tim Place, will have three home games and seven road contests next season.

Chowan kicks-off the 2015 season at Fayetteville State University on September 5th in a nonconference battle. The Hawks will then square off against FCS opponents in the next two road outings. Chowan will tackle Campbell University on September 12th and take on Delaware State University on September 19th.

After opening the season with a trio of road contests, the Hawks kick-off CIAA crossover play with their home opener on September 26th against Saint Augustine's University. After taking on the Falcons, Chowan will hit the road for three consecutive contests.

On October 3rd, the Hawks take on Winston-Salem State University in CIAA crossover play before beginning CIAA Northern Division play in contests against Bowie State University and Virginia Union University on October 10th and October 17th, respectively.

The Hawks return to the friendly confines of Garrison Stadium on October 24th for a Homecoming battle against crosstown rival Elizabeth City State University and take on the defending CIAA Champions Virginia State Universityat home on October 31st. Chowan's battle against the Trojans will be the Chowan University Hall of Fame Game.

The regular season finale for the Blue and White will be a road contest against The Lincoln University on November 7th.

Chowan posted a 2-8 overall record in 2014 and finished 1-6 in CIAA play. Kemaree Alcorn and Marcel Burns, Jr. earned CIAA All-Rookie recognition with Alcorn also earning NCAA All-American Second Team honors.
